To override a family value automatically, create a wd_fam.dat mapping file. A family value can be overridden manually for an individual component using the Options button in the Component Tag area on the Insert/Edit Component dialog box. When a component is inserted and a unique tag is assigned, the value for the %F replaceable parameter in the component tag format is pulled from the default value on the FAMILY attribute of the symbol. For example, tag "K101" becomes "-K101" but "+LOC1-K101" remains unchanged. When switched OFF, it automatically adds a single dash character to an IEC tag that does not have a leading Installation/Location prefix. Suppress dash when first character of tag: Suppresses any single dash character prefix in an IEC tag that does not have a leading Installation/Location prefix (for example, "-K101" dash is suppressed to "K101" but "+LOC1-K101" remains unchanged). If this setting is not selected, both contacts are associated with the same parent relay coil, -100CR.īy selecting this option, your component tags are automatically prefixed with the =, +, and - where applicable. For example, 100CR relay contact marked with location code PNL1 is interpreted as being associated with a different relay coil than relay contact -100CR marked with location code PNL2.

Combined Installation/Location Tag Mode: Uses the combined installation/location tag for interpreting component tag names.%N = the numbering scheme for the active drawing (either sequential or reference-based)ĭefines most of the specific tagging options to conform to the IEC tagging mode.Once a path is specified, your recent blocks will be stored in that location. Make sure the folder is located within a supported cloud storage provider (Box, Dropbox, Google Drive, or Microsoft OneDrive). In the Files tab, go to Blocks Sync Folder Location and specify a new folder for recent and favorite blocks. The ten most recent libraries you indicate will be accessible in the libraries drop-down list. Once a path is specified, all the drawings within this drawing or folder will be accessible as blocks across AutoCAD desktop and web.

Make sure the source of path is a supported cloud storage provider (Box, Dropbox, Google Drive, or Microsoft OneDrive). This is the folder location used for both recent blocks and favorite blocks. Note: The folder location for recent blocks shown in the above video has changed from Blocks Recent Folder Location to Blocks Sync Folder Location.
